I have adjusted the valves carefully and the throttle bodies are synchronized. It feels like the two cylinders are 'fighting' with each other. Under acceleration it vibrates like it is a single cylinder motor.

Friction and vibration are two factors that come into play at high car speeds.
What makes the whining even more mysterious is the fact that it occurs only at high engine RPM or while accelerating.There are no diagnostic codes or any lights on! The mechanic I use thought it was the carrier bearing, which I had replaced! Meaning it only occurs when I accelerate. At first I thought it was the engine however, it appears to be something under load.
